How to do research in Computer Science?

Computer Science is currently a hot area for research as well as to make a career. Doing a research in this field is not a one day work. It asks for time and hard work on the part of the research scholar. All the research work done by a student is inscribed in thesis or dissertation. There are several ways to start the research in computer science. You can do your independently but it is strongly recommended to take the assistance of some expert during the course of your research work. 
Firstly, choose your area of interest in which you want to do research. It is not an easy task considering the fact that computer science is a very broad field. For this thing, you can take the advice of your mentor who will accompany you in your research work. Go through the research papers in computer science. This will give you an idea of what is trending these days in the field of computer science. Read scholarly articles. Be analytical in your approach while choosing a research topic. 
After you have chosen a good topic for your research, the next thing is extensive research on that topic regarding what type of work has already been done on that topic, problem formulation, solutions, limitations. While analyzing the previous work, try to find the answer to the following questions:

  • What are the problems that are evaluated in the paper?
  • What is the approach?
  • What are the solutions to that problems?
  • What are the things that remain unanswered?
  • What can be the future ideas for that work?
If you are able to answer these question, then you are ready to implement your own ideas in that work. Think of new and innovative ideas. List down all the references that are relevant to your area of research as these are going to provide aid in your proposed research work. 
Now plan a methodology of your proposed work. You should have the skills of writing a research paper or thesis containing all your research work. You can also take online thesis guidance from experts for writing a thesis or a research paper.
